Summary

■ In April 2023, the number of new job openings was 229,000, the number of new job searches was 377,000. The average offered wage was 2.29million won and the average desired wage was 2.33million won; the overall wage satisfaction rate was 98.2%.

■ The overall wage satisfaction rate decreased by 2.5%p, compared to the same month of the previous year.

■ By employment type, the wage satisfaction rate in ‘non-fixed term employment contract’ was highest at 107.6%, but was lowest at 48.6% in the form of ‘non-fixed term employment contract (part-time).

■ Looking at the share of offered wages by employment type in October, the ‘non-fixed term employment contract' had the largest share of demand at 2.0million won or more, and the 'fixed term employment contract' jobs had the relatively large share between 2-2.5million won.
