This study analyzes the policy effects of the new working time regulations and the actual conditions of individual workers, workplaces, and industries, and establishes customized strategies to achieve work-life balance. It proposes institutional alternatives to reform the practice of long working hours and overtime, which has been pointed out as a chronic problem in Korean society.
