  • SUMMARY
The Korean Labor and Income Panel Study (KLIPS) conducts yearly studies on a representative panel sample (original sample members: 5,000 households) of Korea’s households and household members residing in urban areas. The study takes the form of longitudinal surveys that track details including the characteristics of households, the household members’ economic activities, labor market movements, income-earning activities, expenditures, education, vocational training, and social life. With a history of nine annual surveys dating from 1998 to 2006, KLIPS has completed fieldwork for the 10th Wave study in October, 2007. This study conducts analyses mainly based on cleaned data from the 9th Wave study, making comparisons with results from the 1st - 8th Wave studies if the need arises.
