The study on the change of fairness perception of Korean employees
  • SUMMARY
    This study explores the political and economic environment as macro factors which could shape fairness awareness. In the political environment the features of governance ideology and policies of each administration were examined in relations to fairness recognition. The economic environment was studied through the changes in income inequality distribution, which could substantially influence fairness recognition. In addition, an examination of people’s fairness recognition for the past 15 years found that most of them felt unfairness in all areas (employment opportunity, judicial execution, income and assets, and gender equality) except for educational opportunity.
