    Summary

In February 2021, the number of new job openings was 182,000, the number of new job searches was 367,000. The average offered wage was 2.04 million won and the average desired wage was 2.08 million won; the overall wage satisfaction rate was 98.3%.

By employment type, the wage satisfaction rate in ‘non-fixed term employment contract’ was highest at 103.7% but was lowest at 50.0% in the form of ‘non-fixed term employment contract(part-time). The low wage satisfaction rate for part-time is attributable to the low wage offered by companies for part-time work in February.

Looking at the share of offered wages by employment type in February, the share of demand for jobs in the 1.5-2million won range in ‘non-fixed term employment contract' and 'fixed term employment contract' decreased compared to the same month of the previous year, but it still shows the largest proportion. In both types of work, the proportion of demand for jobs in the 2 to 2.5 million won and over 2.5 million won range increased compared to the same month of the previous year.
