In October 2020, there were 182,000 individuals newly looking for a job and 386,000 jobs newly open for recruitment at the average wage of 20,360,000 won and the average desired wage of 20,820,000 won. The overall wage satisfaction rate was 97.8%.

By employment type, the wage satisfaction rate in ‘non-fixed term employment contract’ was highest at 103.2%, and was lowest at 49.5% in the form of non-fixed employment contract(part-time). The low wage satisfaction rate in October can be attributed to the low offered wage from employers.

The offered wage by employment type in October showed the highest labor demand in ‘non-fixed term employment contract’ and ‘fixed-term employment contract’ with a salary range of 1.5-2.0 million won. However the proportion showed a year-on-year decrease. In both employment types, labor demand in the salary range of 2.0-2.5 million won showed a significant year-on-year increase.
