    Summary

    New job openings in May 2019 were 186,000 and new job-seekers were 324,000. Average offer wage was 2.029 million Korean won and reservation wage was 2.059 million, indicating a 98.6% of wage fulfillment rate.

    By employment type, wage fulfillment was the highest at 102.1% in “work contract with no fixed term,” and the lowest in “work contract (hourly) with no fixed term” (51.7%).  

    By occupation, the top 5 wage fulfillment rates were seen in “cleaning and other personal services” at 112.8%, followed by “security/guard,” “food processing/production,” “electric/electronic installation/maintenance/production,” and “healthcare/medical.”

    The bottom 5 wage fulfillment rates were seen in “caregiving service (patient care/childcare)” at 84.3%, followed by “construction/mining,” “metal/material installation/maintenance/production,” “construction/mining R&D and engineering” and “driving/transport.”
