Summary
■ In October 2020, there were 182,000 individuals newly looking for a job and 386,000 jobs newly open for recruitment at the average wage of 20,360,000 won and the average desired wage of 20,820,000 won. The overall wage satisfaction rate was 97.8%.
■ By employment type, the wage satisfaction rate in ‘non-fixed term employment contract’ was highest at 103.2%, and was lowest at 49.5% in the form of non-fixed employment contract(part-time). The low wage satisfaction rate in October can be attributed to the low offered wage from employers.
■ The offered wage by employment type in October showed the highest labor demand in ‘non-fixed term employment contract’ and ‘fixed-term employment contract’ with a salary range of 1.5-2.0 million won. However the proportion showed a year-on-year decrease. In both employment types, labor demand in the salary range of 2.0-2.5 million won showed a significant year-on-year increase.
