Summary
■ In September 2020, there were 171,000 individuals newly looking for a job and 361,000 jobs newly open for recruitment at the average wage of 20,350,000 won and the average desired wage of 20,940,000 won. The overall wage satisfaction rate was 97.2%.
■ By employment type, the wage satisfaction rate in non-fixed term employment contract’ was highest at 101.9%, and was lowest at 49.5% in the form of non-fixed employment contract(part-time), which is around half of the wage satisfaction rate.
■ By job type, the highest wage satisfaction rate was ‘guards-janitors’, at 112.2% followed by ‘cleaning and other personal service-related jobs’, ‘electric-electronic installation-repair-manufacturing jobs’, ‘simple manufacturing jobs’ and ‘public health and medical’.
■ By job type, the lowest wage satisfaction rate was ‘caregiving service jobs’ at 81.4%, followed by ‘manufacturing-mining jobs’, ‘metal-material installation-repair-manufacturing jobs,’ ‘construction-mining R&D or engineering-technical jobs,’ and ‘food-services’.
