Summary
■ New job openings in June were 171,000 and new job-seekers were 317,000. Average offer wage was 2.011 million Korean won and reservation wage was 2.052 million, indicating a 98% of wage fulfillment.
■ By employment type, wage fulfillment was the highest at 101.0% in “work contract with no fixed term,” and the lowest in “work contract (hourly) with no fixed term” (51.5%). The low wage fulfillment of “work contract (hourly) with no fixed term” can be attributed to low levels of offered wage by employers.
■ By employment type in June, the offered wage of “work contract with no fixed term” and “work contract with fixed term” wage demand decreased year on year at 1.5 million to 2 million won, but still remains high. From both employment types, the job wage demand increased year on year between 2 million won to 2.5 million won, and also showed an increase from the range of 1.3 million won to 1.5 million won and more than 2.5 million won.
